Our team
Co-founder and Director
Sumeer is a Co-founder and Director at REL Finance with over 15 years’ industry experience in real estate lending, private equity and real estate development. He has been involved in over £1bn of UK real estate transactions. Prior to REL, Sumeer worked at Nationwide Building Society, Laxfield Capital and Topland Group, where he deployed, managed and returned in excess of £600m. He holds a BSc Mathematics degree from the University of Nottingham.
Co-founder and Director
Tashin is a Co-founder and Director of REL Finance, with over 15 years’ experience across banking, corporate law, technology and real estate development. He has been involved in credit lending and structuring across more than US$500m of transactions and has led teams delivering banking and payment infrastructure. Prior to co-founding REL Finance, Tashin was Executive Director at I&M Bank (Uganda), following I&M Bank Group plc’s acquisition of Orient Bank, his family-founded bank. He played a leading role in the M&A process and subsequent transition of the business. He also previously worked with FTC Global. Tashin holds a BA in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham.
Operations & Marketing Manager
Sophie is the Operations & Marketing Manager for REL Finance. She has over 10 years’ experience in relationship and marketing management within the UK IT sector, having previously worked with Insight and Computer Centre. She holds a BA English Literature degree from Nottingham Trent University.
Finance Manager
Shyam is Finance Manager at REL Finance, bringing extensive experience across government, finance and statistical leadership. He has held senior roles at HMRC, the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department for Education, including as Head Statistician. Shyam brings a strong analytical background to REL Finance as the business continues to grow. He holds an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham.
